Contract Packaging Services
Reagent can offer a full range of contract packaging services to suit individual customer requirements. Established in 1977, we have been handling chemicals for over 30 years and our long-serving and committed staff have many years chemical experience between them. This allows us to give advice and to offer free support of a technical nature before we start contract packaging services procedures. In addition to contract packaging services, we are able to offer chemical drumming, drum packaging and chemical packaging, along with a bespoke contract manufacturing and toll packing service.
Reagent is able to pack hazardous liquids including alkalis, flammables, toxics, solvents and acids, in addition to non-hazardous liquids which may have other special handling requirements such as heating. As well as a comprehensive contract packaging services service, we are able to offer contract repacking and contract repackaging services.
 Reagent has a flexible manufacturing process and this allows us to turn around most contract packaging services jobs within 10 working days or sooner, if required. We are pleased to discuss individual customer requirements and pride ourselves on the close working relationship we have built up with customers.
Packaging materials are always purchased from approved suppliers with whom we have long-standing relationships and whose quality of product is in no doubt. The contract packaging services material is quality checked to make sure of its compatibility with the products to be packed. Sensitive products can be packed under nitrogen to prevent degradation due to exposure with the atmosphere. We can pack in sizes from sachets and ampoules up to IBCs and everything in between and we would be happy to discuss any specific requirements.
Reagent has semi-automated filling machines for powders and liquids and our staff are fully trained to work in line with our quality system. All staff are familiar with LEAN manufacturing methods and we strive to operate in the most efficient way possible, in order to keep our pricing at a competitive level.
We manufacture to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and have a fully traceable manufacturing system. Packaging and labelling conform to existing ADR and CHIP legislation and we are currently working towards the GHS and CLP regulations. Reagent is also proud to be an Investor in People.
Reagent is able to deliver locally free of charge and we use our own ADR trained drivers. We also offer a nationwide service using fully approved couriers whose staff are fully trained and with whom we have long-standing relationships. Where required, we can arrange for goods to be exported direct and we would be delighted to arrange all export documentation for worldwide transportation of goods.
